Hi, I’m Amanda.

  • Adolescents, Adults, Pregnant and Postpartum Women, Parents, and Families

I specialize in: Anxiety, Depression, OCD, Trauma, Perinatal Mental Health, Life Transitions

  • Great question, my first priority is always to assess what you need and tailor our work to that. But there are some specialties that I have (its ok if these look like a bunch of letters, we can get into it!):

    CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

    DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy)

TF-CBT Certified (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy): a structured approach that helps children, teens, and their families process difficult or traumatic experiences in a safe way. It combines talking through feelings, learning coping skills, and involving parents or caregivers, so kids can heal, feel more in control, and move forward with confidence.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): helps people heal from difficult or traumatic experiences. Instead of having painful memories feel “stuck” and triggering, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess those memories. Over time, the memories lose their emotional charge, so you can remember what happened without feeling controlled by it.

iCBT (Inference Based CBT): helps people with intrusive thought OCD recognize when their brain is sending a false alarm, so they can stop believing every scary thought and start trusting what’s real. Great for all those unwanted “what if” thoughts that won’t go away.

ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention): helps people with OCD face the situations or thoughts that trigger their anxiety and then practice not doing the compulsions, so the brain learns the fear isn’t necessary.

Trained through Postpartum Support International: I specialize in helping new and expecting parents navigate postpartum depression and anxiety with evidence-based, compassionate care.

Families, Women, Adolescents and Adults

I work with teens, young adults, adults, and families who are ready to experience real change. I’m a therapist who likes to get into the heart of things—we won’t just sit in silence while I nod slowly and say, “Thank you for sharing that”. You can expect thoughtful follow-up, meaningful conversation, and real, sustainable tools to help you manage life’s stressors. Together, we’ll identify the unhelpful patterns that are keeping you stuck and work toward lasting change, using therapeutic approaches tailored specifically to you. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I don’t treat it that way.

I also view each client through a holistic lens, identifying solutions across various aspects of wellness. Yes, I will probably ask when you last drank a glass of water, stepped outside, or got a decent night’s sleep—not to be annoying, but because those things also matter. I try every tool I suggest, so what we talk about in session is practical and realistic for everyday life.

My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to come exactly as you are. Nothing is too big, too small, too messy, or too weird to bring into session. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, OCD or intrusive thoughts, trauma, life transitions (especially pregnancy and parenthood), or the complexities of relationships and social dynamics—I want to hear about it. Our sessions will be a mix of honest reflection, practical planning, and yes, a little humor and laughter too.

More than anything, I want you to walk away from therapy feeling empowered—clearer about who you are, confident in your strengths, and equipped to handle what life throws your way. I’m here when you’re ready..
