Postpartum Anxiety & Depression, Pregnancy, and Infertility Support

Specialized therapy for life’s most vulnerable and emotional seasons

Pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and the journey to parenthood can bring some of life’s most profound joys—and also some of its deepest challenges. For many people, these seasons involve intense emotional changes, physical stress, and difficult decisions. You don’t have to navigate them alone.

At Atlanta Counseling Collective we offer compassionate, evidence-based therapy for postpartum anxiety and depression, as well as support for pregnancy, infertility, and pregnancy loss. We help you cope, heal, and feel more like yourself again.

Postpartum Anxiety & Depression

It’s common for new parents to feel overwhelmed, tearful, or worried in the early weeks after birth—but if those feelings are persistent, intense, or interfere with daily life, it may be more than the “baby blues.”

Postpartum Depression may include:

  • Persistent sadness, hopelessness, or guilt

  • Fatigue and loss of interest in things you used to enjoy

  • Difficulty bonding with your baby

  • Changes in appetite or sleep outside of newborn needs

Postpartum Anxiety may include:

  • Racing thoughts and constant worry about your baby’s safety

  • Difficulty sleeping even when the baby sleeps

  • Feeling on edge, restless, or irritable

  • Physical symptoms like rapid heartbeat or shortness of breath

These conditions are common, treatable, and nothing to be ashamed of. We use approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and supportive counseling to help you regain balance.

Pregnancy-Related Support

Pregnancy can bring a mix of excitement and fear. You might be facing:

  • Complicated or high-risk pregnancy

  • Severe morning sickness or pregnancy-related health issues

  • Fear of childbirth (tokophobia)

  • Anxiety about becoming a parent

  • Relationship or identity shifts during pregnancy

We create a safe space to talk through your concerns, learn coping skills, and prepare emotionally for birth and parenthood.

Infertility & Reproductive Challenges

Infertility can be one of the most isolating and painful experiences in a person’s life. You might be navigating:

  • Disappointment after multiple attempts to conceive

  • Emotional ups and downs of fertility treatments

  • Relationship strain

  • Feelings of grief, anger, or guilt

Therapy can help you process the emotional impact, make space for hope, and find ways to cope with uncertainty.

Pregnancy & Infant Loss

Losing a pregnancy or infant is heartbreaking. The grief is unique and often misunderstood by others. We provide gentle, nonjudgmental support for:

  • Miscarriage

  • Stillbirth

  • Termination for medical reasons

  • Neonatal loss

Our goal is to help you honor your loss, process your grief, and find a path forward at your own pace.

Our Approach

We tailor therapy to your needs, drawing from:

  • CBT for managing anxious and depressive thoughts

  • ACT for building acceptance and flexibility during uncertainty

  • Mindfulness for reducing stress and improving emotional balance

  • Grief counseling for loss and infertility challenges

  • Couples therapy to strengthen relationships during high-stress times
